To aid in the accomplishment of the general plan and purpose embodied in the Social Security Act of Congress, of August 14, 1935, chapter 531, 49 Stat. 620, 42 U. S. C. A., sec. 301 et seq., the legislatures of the various states have enacted what are known as Unemployment Compensation Acts for the benefit of those who might, under certain conditions, find themselves in a state of involuntary unemployment.
