Plaintiffs Central States, Southeast and Southwest Areas Pension Fund and Howard McDougall (collectively “Central States”) bring this action under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), as amended by the Mul- tiemployer Pension Plan Amendment Act of 1980 (MPPAA), 29 U.S.C. § 1001 et seq., to collect interim withdrawal liability payments from defendants Manning Motor Express, A-l Express, K-T Express and Bowling Green Express (collectively “Manning”).
