— This was an action at law to recover the alleged value of improvements on school land. The plaintiff alleged his possession of said lands by virtue of a lease from the county commissioners of King county; the appraisement of the land by the county commissioners, under the act to provide for the sale and leasing of school lands, approved March 28, 1890 (Laws 1889-90, p. 438), and all the subsequent steps taken by the commissioners under said law.
