As an employee of Frank Chevrolet Company in Portland Leo P. Hefford was insured in the sum of $2,000.00 under a group policy of life insurance issued by the defendant Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. His wife, the plaintiff Ethel I. Hefford, was named as beneficiary. By the terms of the policy the insurance was collectible only if death occurred while Hefford was in the employ of Frank Chevrolet Company or within thirty-one days after termination of such employment.
