The plaintiff corporation was organized December 25, 1895. By its articles of incorporation, the nature of the business it proposed to transact was stated as follows: “ Article 3. The general nature of the business to be transacted by this company shall be the insurance of the property of its members, and no others, against loss or damage by casualty and to make all kinds of insurance on goods, merchandise, and other property in the course of transportation whether on land or on water, or any vessel or boat wherever same may be; and this corporation is especially empowered to…
