12Plaintiffs appeal a summary judgment dismissing their medical malpractice action against defendant. For the reasons that follow, we affirm.

FACTS AND PROCEDURAL HISTORY

On April 28, 2006, plaintiffs, Patricia Vanner and Letitia Hampton, daughters of Catherine Hampton (“Mrs. Hampton”), along with Jake Vanner, visited Mrs. Hampton at Lakewood Quarters Rehabilitation and Nursing (“Lakewood Quarters”),1 where she was a resident.
