PERRY, Chief Judge.

Douglas C. Carlson appeals from a judgment of conviction entered after a jury verdict of guilty for first degree murder. I.C. § 18-4003(d). For the reasons set forth below, we affirm.

BACKGROUND

Carlson became involved in a relationship with the mother of twenty-two-month-old Nicole, the victim in this ease. Carlson often stayed the night at their apartment and babysat Nicole.
