The City of Nashville, Georgia, operated its municipally owned electric-light system until March 23, 1928, when the mayor and council passed a .resolution authorizing the sale of this property. The city had both a water and light system, and sold the light system, reserving the water system with a stipulation that the purchasers of the electric-power system should furnish the power to pump the water from the municipal well to supply the water system.
