Plaintiff petitioned the circuit court of Wayne county for a writ of mandamus to compel the presiding judge of Wayne county probate court to appoint plaintiff to the position of court stenographer.
Plaintiff served as a court stenographer in the court of Thomas C. Murphy, judge of probate for the county of Wayne, prior to February 19, 1952. Plaintiff had been an employee of the county of Wayne some 18 years prior to that date.
