12Pefendant-appelIant, Leo Mitchell (“defendant”), appeals his convictions and sentences on one count of second degree murder, one count of attempted second degree murder, and one count of second degree kidnapping. For reasons that follow, we affirm the convictions and sentences.

Defendant was originally charged by Grand Jury Indictment dated June 1, 2000 with the first degree murder of Henry Porter, Sr. A sanity commission was appointed and, ultimately, defendant was found competent to stand trial. On June 23, 2005, the indictment was amended to reduce the charge to…
