On or about September 4, 1991, plaintiff Jonathan Hazell, an Australian citizen, forwarded an application and $1,000 deposit for entry into a five-month professional pilot course with defendant Southeastern Flight Academy. The total cost of the program was $20,500, and plaintiff elected to pay his tuition by selecting the two-payment plan offered by defendant in which one-half of the total cost of the program was to be paid at registration and the balance of the tuition was due within forty-five days following registration.
