MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

PIESTER, United States Magistrate Judge.

Pending before the court is plaintiffs’ motion to compel and two pending motions to quash. (Filings 31, 37 and 38). For reasons more fully explained below, I shall grant each motion in part.

BACKGROUND

This action concerns the business relationship between plaintiffs and defendant. On September 26,1985 the Crest Mortgage Corporation (Crest) loaned $1 million to Springfield Partners.
