STRUTZ, Chief Justice.

An action for divorce on the ground of extreme cruelty was commenced by the respondent wife in April of 1970. The record discloses that she had married the defendant-appellant on October 26, 1963, and that two sons were born as the issue of such marriage. The defendant filed an answer to the complaint, denying the plaintiff’s allegations of extreme cruelty and counterclaiming for a divorce on the ground of extreme cruelty on the part of the wife.
