Pedro Castro-Cortes was working for Astro Insulation, Inc., a subcontractor of JRJ Ada, LLC (“JRJ”), when he fell through a hole on the property of JRJ. He sued JRJ for personal injury in Illinois state court (the “underlying lawsuit”), claiming that he suffered severe and permanent injury, both externally and internally, as a result of the fall. JRJ is an Illinois limited liability company with two members, Joe Panfil and Renee Michelon.
