The plaintiff Community Builders, Inc., known at the time of the events recounted herein as Greater Boston Community Development, Inc. (and thus referred to in the record and in this opinion as GBCD), brought this action to recover fees for consulting services it rendered to a limited partnership, Indian Motocycle Associates Limited Partnership (BVLALP), in connection with the conversion of a historic but dilapidated factory building in Springfield into 139 units of mixed low-income and market-rate residential housing.
