In this action the appellee, Maggie Jones, recovered a judgment against the Joplin & Pitts-burg Railway Company for negligently causing the death of her husband, David Jones, who was a resident of Frontenac and by occupation a coal miner. He and the appellee were married in 1890, and he died intestate on October 24, 1909, at the age of forty-nine years, leaving surviving his widow and two daughters. It appears that he worked steadily during his married life and had an earning capacity of from $50 to $75 a month. These earnings he…
