OPINION
DICKENSON, Justice.
Halliburton Company and Colorado City Tank Rental Company, Inc. sued Max Walden Production, Inc. for a money judgment for goods furnished and services rendered in connection with the drilling and completion of certain oil wells, and they also sought foreclosure of mineral liens on all of the leasehold interests in the land [including not only the interest owned by the operator, Max Walden Production, Inc., but also the interests owned by its assignees, investors who were nonoperator owners of portions of the leasehold estate].
