I. Procedural History
Parker-Hannifin Corporation and Parker Intangibles, LLC (“Parker”) filed a complaint against Schlegel Electronic Materials, Inc. (“Schlegel”) on May 16, 2007 for alleged infringement of five Parker patents, numbered 6,387,523; 6,521,348; 6,716,536; 6,777,095; and 6,248,393. Parker filed an amended complaint on September 7, 2007, to which Schlegel responded on September 10, 2007, by denying infringement and alleging that Parker’s patents were invalid and unenforceable.
