D.M.P., the presumed father, and M.C.M.P.C., the mother, were married in March 1981.1 On May 20, 1994, the moth.*506er filed a complaint for a divorce, stating that two children, L.P. and B.N.P., had been born of the marriage. On August 19, 1994, the trial court entered a final judgment of divorce, incorporating the terms of the parties’ settlement agreement.
