The appellant was convicted of wilfully neglecting to provide for the support and maintenance of his wife by the Criminal Court of Baltimore, sitting without a jury, and sentenced to imprisonment for eighteen months. Sentence was suspended and the appellant released on probation on condition that he pay $25.00 a week for the support of his wife.
