¶ 1 Jacky Mangum, d/b/a Mangum Auto Sales, appeals a judgment in favor of Bryan’s Car Corner, Inc., requiring Mangum to release his lien on a 2008 GMC truck that Bryan’s took in trade as part of an automobile sale transaction with Pacer Cook. Man-gum had previously sold the track to Cook and retained a security interest in the track to secure repayment of the amount of the purchase price he financed for Cook. The dispute involves the amount of the payoff due Mangum for the track. Bryan’s tendered the amount stated in a written payoff statement from Mangum’s employee.…
