We are asked to review the decision of the Benefits Review Board (BRB) affirming the denial of petitioner Willie Stevenson’s claim for temporary total benefits under the Longshoremen’s and Harbor Workers’ *3Compensation Act (the Act).1 The Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) denied Stevenson’s claim, finding that the employer had neither written notice of Stevenson’s injury, pursuant to 33 U.S.C. §§ 912(a) and (b), nor actual knowledge, pursuant to § 912(d)(1).
