BUTZNER, Circuit Judge:

The United States appeals from the district court’s judgment of acquittal of Darlys Foster Steed after a jury found her guilty of mail fraud and furnishing a false statement to a government agency. We reach the following conclusions with respect to the four issues the appeal raises: (1) we have jurisdiction to hear the appeal; (2) we can review the district court’s assessment of the sufficiency of the evidence; (3) the district court erred when it held that the evidence was insufficient to sustain the jury’s verdict; (4) the district court did not err in the admission…
