MEMORANDUM OPINION
BULLOCK, Chief Judge.
Two former employees of the Rockingham County Sheriffs Department (“Department”) brought this suit alleging that they were discharged in violation of the First, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution, the North Carolina Constitution, and the public policy of the state of North Carolina. Defendants have moved for summary judgment on all counts, and the court will partially grant that motion.
