DURHAM, Chief Justice:

¶ 1 This case, which reaches us on certiora-ri in the form of a quiet title action, involves a multi-generational family dispute over the ownership of certain real property that was placed into two irrevocable trusts over thirty years ago. Defendants Cuma S. Hoopiiaina (Cuma), individually and as personal representative of the Estate of Malualani B.
