Chief Judge EFFRON delivered the opinion of the Court.

A general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members, convicted Appellant, contrary to his pleas, of attempted larceny, rape, unlawful entry, and adultery, in violation of Articles 80, 120, 130, and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. §§ 880, 920, 930, 934 (2006). The sentence adjudged by the court-martial and approved by the convening authority included a dishonorable discharge, confinement for seven years, forfeiture of $898.00 pay per month for eighty-four months, and reduction to the pay grade of E-1.…
