Seven plaintiffs seek to impress mechanic’s liens for carpentry labor upon a parcel of real property in St. Louis County, Missouri. The trial court sustained the motion of the property owner to dismiss. Because the court did not state specific grounds for the dismissal, we look to the reasons set forth in defendant’s motion to dismiss: failure to serve notices of claims upon the property owner, failure to name the property owner in the lien statements, untimely joinder of the property owner, insufficient itemization of the lien statements, and failure to state a claim…
