In the latest phase of this protracted litigation, the Court is called upon to adjudicate defendants’ challenges to claims filed pursuant to a class action settlement agreement. Under the agreement, the Court is charged with resolving disputes as to the validity of claims. Because defendants have a reversionary interest in the settlement fund, defendants seek to limit the number of claims that the Court allows.
