Tbe board of county road commissioners on bebalf of tbe county of Wayne instituted proceedings against Harold and Winifred Palmer (bis wife) and tbe city of Detroit for tbe purpose of condemning certain lands in tbe city of Detroit in order to widen Woodward avenue between Six and Seven Mile roads. Tbe land involved adjoins tbe original Woodward avenue on tbe west. It bas a depth of 121 feet and a length of 684.42 feet along Woodward avenue.
Sometime prior to 1899, Senator Thomas W. Palmer dedicated to tbe city of Detroit a parcel of land containing 133 acres which bas since been used and…
