Paul Bohrer brought suit under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), 29 U.S.C. § 621 et seq., alleging that defendants Hanes Corporation and its division, Hanes Hosiery, Inc., 1 had reduced his sales territory 2 and later terminated his employment because of age. A jury returned a special verdict finding that age was a determinative factor in Bohrer’s discharge, that this discriminatory act was willful, and that Bohrer was entitled to damages in the amount of $167,320.
