Plaintiff, the Big Lake State Bank of Big Lake, Tex., brought this suit against defendants H. L. Puckett and Collin Puckett, as makers, and against John O. Beck, Taylor Emerson, and Fulton Emerson, as indorsers, for an unpaid balance of $4,115 on a promissory note, originally in the principal sum of $4,100, executed by defendants H. L. Puckett and Collin Puckett, payable to John O. Beck and Taylor Emerson, and indorsed by them and Fulton Emerson to the plaintiff bank; the note by its statement was given in payment for a town lot in Big Lake, good will, and all of the physical assets of the…
