This action was brought under the statute (R. T. 1905, § 4454) to establish and locate the quarter corner between the subdivisions of land owned by the respective parties and to determine the boundary line between their adjoining farms; the original corner, as located by the government survey, and the boundary line, having become obliterated and lost. Prior to the commencement of the action the town board of supervisors of the town in which the land is located had caused a survey thereof to be made, and the surveyor employed by them had located what he claimed to be the true quarter corner in…
