MANNHEIMER, Judge.
Travis D. Clark appeals his conviction for assaulting his girlfriend, Loretta B. Amouak. *1205Although our prior decision in this case, Clark v. State, Alaska App. Memorandum Opinion No. 5112 (September 6, 2006), 2006 WL 2578642, contains a detailed description of the underlying facts, the pertinent facts can be described in a few paragraphs:
