Petitioner-appellant John Henry Green appeals the dismissal, without evidentiary hearing, of his petition for post-conviction relief under the Illinois Post-Conviction Hearing Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par. 122 — 1 et seq.). We affirm.

On March 19, 1982, petitioner was convicted by a Cook County jury of: (1) murder of Leon Emphriam; (2) attempted murder of Denise Chaney; and (3) aggravated battery upon Denise Chaney. Petitioner was sentenced on April 21, 1982, to concurrent prison terms of 35 years for murder and 30 years for attempted murder, with no sentence being imposed for…
