We review this appeal for the second time. (People v. Hemphill, 71 Ill App2d 146, 217 NE2d 17.) It reaches us under a mandate of the Illinois Supreme Court to follow the directions contained in an order of the United States Supreme Court remanding the cause “with instructions to appoint counsel and hear the appeal.” 388 US 465, 18 L Ed2d 1323, 87 S Ct 2128.
