K.S.A. 21-6615(a) entitles a defendant to an allowance for jail credit against their controlling sentence for all time spent incarcerated while the defendant's cases were pending disposition. 2. When consecutive sentences are imposed in separate cases, the defendant is entitled to a single day of jail credit for each day spent in jail while those cases were pending.
