A jury convicted the defendant of murder in the first degree and carrying a firearm without a license. On appeal, the defendant claims that numerous errors at trial warrant the reversal of his convictions and also requests relief pursuant to G. L. c. 278, § 33E. While this appeal was pending, the defendant filed a motion for postconviction relief, which we remanded to the Superior Court for disposition.
