The defendant was convicted of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, malicious damage to a motor vehicle, and four counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon. On appeal, he contends that the evidence was insufficient to convict him of all four assaults because the perpetra*292tor, by firing only a single shot into a vehicle occupied by four persons, could not have intended to commit more than a single battery by means of that shot.
