The indictment herein was presented by the grand jury of Monroe county, October 30, 1903, and the defendants are charged with the crime of conspiracy, alleged to have been committed at the city of Rochester, on or about May 1, 1903. The defendants are officers, agents and members of The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. There are three local unions in Rochester, comprising the Monroe County District of Carpenters and Joiners, and the membership includes mechanics, carpenters and woodworkers employed in the erection of buildings and also in the manufacture of building…
