HAIGHT, Senior District Judge:

Plaintiff Cedric Young, currently confined at the Northern Correctional Institution (“NCI”) in Somers, Connecticut, commenced this civil rights action pro se pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. He alleges that the defendants, prison officials and personnel, were deliberately indifferent to his medical and mental health needs on September 3, 2008, constituting cruel and unusual punishment in violation of the Eighth Amendment.
