The defendant, Kairi Thomas, was convicted of murder in the first degree on theories of deliberate premeditation and extreme atrocity or cruelty. On appeal he asserts error in (1) the trial judge’s refusal to admit certified copies of convictions of a Commonwealth witness; (2) various aspects of the judge’s instructions on (a) credibility, (b) evidence, and (c) reasonable doubt; and (3) the judge’s failure to instruct on (a) the Commonwealth’s failure to conduct certain tests, (b) missing witnesses, and (c) alibi.
