Appellants Fitzpatrick Real Estate LLC, Daniel Fitzpatrick, and Fitzpatrick Construction, Inc. (collectively, Fitzpatrick) and their attorney, O’Brien & Wolf, L.L.P. (O’Brien), challenge the district court’s determination that O’Brien’s cause-of-action attorney hen is inferior to the garnishment lien of Fitzpatrick creditor, Whitney National Bank of New Orleans (Whitney), because O’Brien did not file notice of its cause-of-action attorney lien.
