McFarland, justice:

In 1962 John A. Metheany, a Phoenix lawyer, was indicted for making a false oath in bankruptcy proceedings. The case has been before the federal courts ever since. At least two convictions have been set aside for technical reasons. In 1967 he was convicted and sentenced to two years in prison. On November 1, 1967, the local administrative committee of the Arizona State Bar held a hearing to determine whether Metheany should be disciplined for the conduct which led to the conviction.
