I. INTRODUCTION
Plaintiffs instituted this action in federal court on January 5, 1990 by filing a six-count federal securities fraud/RICO/Michigan common law fraud Complaint based upon the Defendants involvement in an allegedly fraudulent scheme involving sales of two Federal Kemper Life Assurance Company single-premium life insurance policies.
