Appeal from an order of the Supreme Court (Kavanagh, J.), entered January 3, 2005 in Ulster County, which, inter alia, granted defendant’s motion to dismiss the complaint for lack of personal jurisdiction.
*1143On March 26, 2001, plaintiff and defendant were involved in an automobile accident. Plaintiff commenced this personal injury action by filing a summons and complaint on March 15, 2004, 10 days before the expiration of the statute of limitations.
