Appellants brought claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), as well as various common-law claims including fraud, civil conspiracy, and breach of the employment contract, against their former employer Mobil Oil Corporation, based on Mobil’s 1984 amendment of its employee benefit plan and alleged failure to disclose to appellants all of the options available under the amended plan.
