Appellant Robert Vanderpool was formerly the city marshal of the City of Mammoth Spring. He filed suit in the Fulton County Circuit Court against Appellees Jean Pace, mayor of Mammoth Spring, and four city aldermen, Jack Haney, Carol HoweE, James MiEs, and Bruce Green. In his complaint, AppeEant asserted that the city owed him overtime pay for a period of three years, pursuant to certain provisions of the city’s municipal code.
