This is an action in damages for personal injury.

Defendant is described in the pleadings as a corporation engaged in the restaurant business at 810-812 Grand Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri, and selling its commodities to the public. It appears plaintiff had been in the employ of defendant for about two years, but during that period all of her time was not required by defendant; and as part of her duties in serving the public, she was required to operate a bread-slicing machine.
