This is an action for damages for personal injuries. Plaintiff recovered a verdict and judgment in the sum of $3500, and defendants have appealed.
The facts show that on May 12, 1928, while plaintiff was going to her work in the down town portion of Kansas City, she was injured by stepping in a hole when alighting from a street car. The car was being operated by the defendant, Kansas City Public Service Company (hereinafter called the street car company). The street ear in question was headed south on McGee street.
