for the Court.

This is an appeal by the plaintiff, Mary Ellen Zuba, from the Superior Court’s grant of the defendants’ motion for summary judgment. This case came before the Supreme Court on December 4, 2007, pursuant to an order directing the parties to appear and show cause why the issues raised in this appeal should not be summarily decided. After considering the memoranda that the parties submitted and the relevant principles of law, 1 we are satisfied that cause has not been shown. Accordingly we shall decide the appeal at this time.
